Each region, kingdom, city and nation has their share of groups who hold power that the average person, and sometimes more than any lord or ruler. Some of Thelos's power groups are below.

Blue Knights[]

The Blue Knights were created after what is now called Gavin's Rebellion.  The knights were created with the sole purpose of defending Draico against the Demon Knights.  They have not been around long and their order is small but strong.

Brotherhood of the Diamond Dagger[]

The Brotherhood is one of the largest thieve's guild networks on Thelos. They have chapters in nearly every large city on the planet. Smaller guilds operate on the fringes, or in smaller communities not considered profitable enough for the Brotherhood. The Guild controls all of the city of Barden in Southern Draico due to the city's status as a freehold under the jurisdiction of the King.

Cult of the Crystal Spider[]

A group of fanatics, assassins, and terrorists. The cult will take on jobs that even the Diamond Dagger avoids, and finds themselves useful to the Brotherhood from time to time.

Paladins of Illeander[]

The Paladins of Illeander are a group devoted to stamping out all evil in the world.  They are zealous in the pursuit against undead, evil wizards, and lawless rogues.  The Paladins of Illeander can be found in almost every city in Draico.

Record Keepers[]

The Record Keepers are the historians of Thelos. They are all devotees of Farandal and zealous in their belief of impartiality. They are often found observing major events, battles, state weddings and funerals, and other high profile gatherings. It is believed that they have some sense of when a historical event is about to happen and showing up in time to observe. All of their observations are recorded on their skin through intricate tattoos. When a Record Keeper knows they are going to die soon they make a pilgrimage to a nearby monastery where their skin is carefully removed from their remains and stored in the order's archives.

Wives of Karratos[]

The Wives of Karratos are zealous followers of the dark God who believe they are married to him in this life and hope to join his harem after death. No one is certain where this belief has come from but their devotion has turned them into powerful clerics of Karratos and enemies of Illeander's paladins. Many of their rituals include self-flagellation, punishment and torture. Joining the order involves years of training in which a acolyte becomes a veritable slave of her mistress and suffer years of training to finally take their vows.
